Description

This is a picture. It is a picture of a creature I made. It is a picture of a creature I made that is for my fan comic. It also has `savagebinn's characters Min and Skit in it. This is awesome. It is awesome because I had created these creatures in order to have a cute, helpless creature that eats continuously without the ability to stop.

It fits in perfectly on Gorge, and she has agreed that is where they belong. :D I is happeh.

So! They may not have a HUGE part in the comic, but it is pivotal. And yes, I may have given too much thought to their history, but where's the fun in making a critter if it's got no fun facts about it.

Speaking of which.

Fun Facts:

1.) They're creatures that spend a vast majority of their time floating around in upper atmosphere vacuuming up any morsel in range.

2.) Unlike most creatures of flight on Gorge, Bloaters don't really fly...they just float. They can't maneuver themselves at all once they're in the air and are easy prey to predators such as Cloud Skimmers; they are also in constant danger of puncturing themselves on Gorge's craggy cliffsides. Giant, helpless balloon animals FTW.

3.) Bloaters usually stay aloft a majority of their lives, as they forget how to return to the planet's surface. They only descend if their energy is depleted from lack of food - which consists mostly of floating algae.

4.) Their intelligence is in the pits. It's rare for Bloaters to reach the size of that snoozing female, as most of them die in the wild after being alive for only a few years. Luckily, to make up for their high mortality rate, they reach breeding age early and reproduce rapidly.

5.) Because of their extremely docile nature, they make wonderful pets for Gorgian children. And for the few Irkens that desire pets, Bloaters are THE RAGE.

6.) The majority of pet deaths have to do with owners overfeeding their Bloaters. Domesticated bloaters never feel satiated.

7.) Bloaters in captivity can grow to an indefinite size. When they get too big, Irken owners resort to sending them to slaughter. The sweet flesh of a Bloater is a key ingredient to the expensive snack: Irken Taffy.

These guys are pathetic.
Feel sorry for them.

Thank you Binny!

Aw, they're so cute and pitiful! I love imagining these things randomly beach-balling an unsuspecting Joe, which inspires some ideas. xD
